/ May 01, 2004 – Cuban Movement for a Unified Democracy (M.C.U.D.)
fulfilling its international agenda, obtained an interview this Thursday
evening with Madeleine Albright, the distinguished Ex-Secretary of State
during the last Clinton administration.
Madam Secretary, as is well known internationally, became the first
female Secretary of State and the highest-ranking woman in the United
States government. As such she’s the first and only woman to hold the
position as the chief designer of American foreign policy and diplomacy
around the world.
During an earlier conference offered by Madam Secretary Madeleine
Albright among the important topics that were approached, one related to
the present global situation and the need to export democracy and all
its values around the world.
Later in a private interview with Eng. Cesar L. Alarcon of the M.C.U.D.
Ex-Secretary Albright commented on how important it is to continue the
untiring fight to present the true values of freedom. Madam Albright was
born in Czechoslovakia and emigrated to the United States at a young
age, fleeing from the hell of the German fascism, she knows perfectly
well how these totalitarian systems work and what they consist of. She
has personally lived and been scarred by them. For this reason she is
one of the few qualified to understand the dilemma of people that have
been themselves forced to separate and suffer exile caused by
totalitarian communist and fascist governments and systems.
Responding to two questions posed by Eng. Alarcon of the M.C.U.D. on her
opinion about the dictator Fidel Castro and what is her message for the
people of Cuba, Secretary Albright expressed "Fidel Castro is an Old
Dinosaur out of universal and democratic context. He must leave his
dictatorship and give way to freedom and democracy”. In reference to the
people of Cuba she sends a message of hope and freedom and ratified her
commitment to help in every way possible to give back to the Cuban
people their independence and reestablish their Human Rights.
Eng. Alarcon and the Ex-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright left open
the lines of communication for future joint works in the fight for the
Freedom and Democracy in Cuba.
