The Cuban Memorial will demonstrate in front of the Cuban Interests Section of Fidel Castro’s dictatorship in Washington, D.C.

Miami, FL Feb 12, 2006- The Cuban Memorial Organizing Committee announced today that friends of the Cuban Memorial will demonstrate this year in front of the Cuban Interests Section in Washington, D.C. The demonstration will serve to remind the Cuban Regime of its moral and de facto responsibility for the more than 10,000 victims it has caused in the past 5 decades.

A banner containing a panoramic view of the more than 10,000 crosses bearing the names of the victims which make up the Cuban Memorial will be on displayed before the Cuban Interests Section of the Embassy of Switzerland.

For the past 4 years The Cuban Memorial constitutes a fervent effort by the Cuban exile community to remember and pay tribute to all who made the ultimate sacrifice for a free Cuba. During the event a list containing the names, dates of death and place in which they were assassinated will be given to the representatives of the Cuban Interest Section.

We encourage all Cubans and friends of the Cuban cause who live in the Washington, D.C. area and its surrounding states to join us next February 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Cuban Interests Section of the Embassy of Switzerland (2630 16th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.).

This event will take place in solidarity with the Cuban Memorial’s main event in Miami’s Tamiami Park (SW 112 Ave and Coral Way) at 5:00 p.m.
