Official Press release from the
M.C.U.D.
Cuban paramilitary
groups attacking civil populace.
Baltimore, July 24, 2005. The Cuban Movement for a Unified Democracy
energetically condemns the repeated deplorable and illegal detentions
conducted by the communist authorities of Havana, Cuba.
The communist government has organized human harassments using its
repressive bodies and paramilitary groups, with the precise objective to
maintain a high level of fear within the disarmed and pacifist civil
populace.
We reach out to the international community so that they stay informed
of the extreme situation of insecurity that threatens the civil populace
of the island. The communist dictatorship of forty-six years flagrantly
violates whatever international agreement exists regarding human rights,
agreements subscribed to by them themselves, those that make them doubly
guilty, as much by their violation as by their ridicule of the
international community and organizations such as the united Nations
Commission on Human rights.
The international mass media and the democratic governments cannot nor
must not continue hiding this proven reality that is developing right
now in the island.
