Cuba calls for media ties with
Iran.

Madrid, Feb 3 - Cuba has called for the expansion of cooperation with
Iran in the fields of press and mass media, said an Iranian official on
Monday.
Iran's Ambassador to Havana Ahmad Edrissian said that head of Cuban
Prensa Latina News Agency (Agencia Informativa Latino Americana) has
called for such cooperation.
"The head of Prensa Latina News Agency announced his country's readiness
to implement the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) signed between Iran
and Cuba within the framework of Non-Aligned News Agencies Pool (NANAP),"
added Edrissian.
The Iranian diplomat added that head of Cuban news agency announced his
readiness to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting
(IRIB) as well as follow up the MOU signed between the two entities.
