Eng. Andrés Pérez.

Born in Nuevitas, Camagüey in December of 1957, immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 11, where he took root in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey. There He was educated and finally graduated as an Engineer in Computing and Information Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. After graduation he married and began his professional career developing computer programs for military defense systems. In 1996 he started developing software for commercial applications for Lucent Technologies Inc. There he evolved into the field of Project Management for Fiber Optical Telecommunications systems.

In his free time he likes to participate in team sports, tinker with his motorcycle and automobiles, he also enjoys following professional Basketball and Football.

He proudly dedicates a great part of his time to the Cuban Movement for a Unified Democracy, and support activities relating to computing, communication, programming, and along with his wife also provide English translation services as needed.

He also participates in some of the MCUD activities when they are within his reach.
